Active Together Master Plan Update – Survey Open Until August 14

The City of Vaughan is updating the Active Together Master Plan (ATMP) to guide the provision of parks, recreation and libraries from 2018-2023. The ATMP  was originally developed in 2008 and last updated in 2013. The 2018 update to the ATMP will define how the City should focus its leisure resources and priorities to provide the most value to citizens, while ensuring long-term sustainability. The ATMP guides many departments at the City in the provision of open space areas, parks, recreation programs and facilities, and library services, for the short and the long-term.

The 2018 ATMP Update was initiated in June 2017 and is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2018. Staff is currently in the public consultation phase of the update which includes an online survey along with surveys being administered at various City events including the Concerts in the Park series. The survey period will run from mid-June to August 14, 2017.
