Vlogs: My New Approach in Connecting with Ward 4 Residents

Social media plays an important role in the way we communicate. It allows us to be connected with our world in real time and communicate with everyone. “Vlogs,” or “vlogging,” is a form of communicating where I can provide blog type information through a video and share with residents via social media. Moving forward, I will be using this new approach to provide ward 4 residents with current and relevant information about our community and to answer questions that you may have! Some topics:
What summer jobs at the city are available for youth? Or volunteer opportunities? We have high school aged kids that need something to do in the summer.

      Hi George,

Great to hear back from residents! The City of Vaughan started the hiring process for summer camps in January and February, but positions are continuously posted on the City of Vaughan employment page under “RECREATION PART-TIME & SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT / VOLUNTEERS” section. To see the latest positions that are available, please visit: https://www.vaughan.ca/cityhall/employment/recreation_jobs/Pages/default.aspx. Resident can also contact the Recreation Service Department at 905-832-8500 if you have questions about recreational part-time positions and/or volunteering for youth.

      Thank you,
      Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco
